Police Nab 27-Year-Old Graduate For Car Snatching In Enugu
Ignatius Okpara, Latest Headlines, News From The State Thursday, May 21st, 2015From IGNATIUS OKPARA, Enugu – The Enugu State Police Command has arrested and paraded one Anidi Reginald, a graduate of Computer Science and Information Technology for alleged car snatching.
According to the state police public Relations officer, PPRO, the 27-year-old Reginald who graduated from a university in Cotonou in 2013 said he took to robbery due to unemployment.
The suspect who hails from Udi Council Area of Enugu state, was apprehended by police operatives attached to the Ogui Division, after he and members of his gang at gun point snatched a Honda Pilot car, with registration number AAA 598 CH.
Amarizu, told African Examiner on Wednesday in Enugu that the incident took place at about 11am on Saturday at Ozalla, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state.
The PPRO hinted that the police also recovered from the suspect an automatic pump action gun, one cut-to-size English-made single barrel gun, and cartridges.
He added that the vehicle has been returned to the owner.
Meanwhile, the suspects blamed his action on peer pressure.
