Police In Enugu Vow To Apprehend Killers Of Nsukka Couple

BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Enugu State Police Command has vowed to bring all those involved in the recent killing of one Mr. Marcel Abah and his wife, Jacinta, in Igboeze North Council Area of the state to book.
Ebere Amarizu, the state Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, made this known on Thursday to newsmen in Enugu.
The married couple, residing at Amaja, community located on the border between Enugu and Benue states, were attacked on 21st September, by unknown gunmen and had their throats slit while they were asleep.
According to the Command Spokesman,”Marcel and Jacinta, were asleep when, at about 2:00 am, unknown hoodlums invaded their home and slit their throats”
Amarizu added that the dead bodies of the couple were discovered by neighbors, who alerted the police, later in the morning.
He said that the couple bled to death before they were discovered.
The PPRO, noted that the police would carry out an autopsy on the corpses as investigative measures.
Speaking further, the PPRO noted that the police had commenced full scale investigations into the incident and stressed that the perpetrators would not go unpunished.
However, remains of the couple had been deposited in the morgue of Ogurute General Hospital.
