Police In Abia Arrest Grandmother Who sold Grandson For N100k To Ritualist

The Abia State police Command on Tuesday arrested a middled age grandmother,(names withheld)
for allegedly selling her three-year-old grandson to a suspected ritualist.
According to the police, the suspect hails from Onitsha Ngwa in Obingwa council Area of the State.
Udeviotu Onyeke, the state police public Relations officer, PPRO disclosed this to newsmen in the commercial city of Aba.
He said the woman is currently in the police custody at Umuobiakwa community, just as further investigation in the matter has begun.
The PPRO added that part of the investigation being carried out was to ascertain the sanity of the woman.
Said Onyeke, the woman had left the community with the child and returned back a week later to raise the alarm that he was missing.
