Police Force Begins Nationwide Audit Of Armouries
Featured, Latest Headlines Wednesday, October 22nd, 2014The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Suleimon Abba has directed nationwide thorough check and audit of Police armouries.
In a statement Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer in Abuja, Emmanuel Ojukwu, Abba said the new measures were to strengthen accountability of the stock of weaponry of the nation’s Police.
IGP indicated that the exercise, which has taken off, would cover all Police Commands, Formations, Stations and Units across the country.
The measures, the statement added it would enable the Force to review the current state of arms and ammunition in stock at various Police armouries.
