Police Declare Man Wanted For Defrauding Enugu State Govt N53 Million

The Enugu State police command on Tuesday declared one Chidi Akabuogu wanted for allegedly defrauding the Enugu State Government to the tune of N53 million naira.
According to the state police public Relations officer PPRO, Ebere Amarizu who disclosed this to African Examiner in Enugu,the suspect, is being accused of forgery and fraud to the tune of N53,45,684.
Amarizu said Akabuogu was “contracted by the state Government to procure three mechanized road sweepers,1049 100 litres size of waste bins and Ros Roca refuse compactor trucks to be used by the ministry of environment.
“The suspect forged some of the documents and inflated custom duties and defrauded the state Government.
“The suspect, however, feigned sickness and was hospitalized and since then has not been seen hence the issuance of a warrant of arrest against him”.
“To this end, the state command of the Nigeria police Force is requesting anyone with useful information about how the suspect can be tracked to report to the state Criminal and Investigations Department Enugu or any nearest police station.
The PPRO hinted that the suspect is from Enugu Ukwu in Anambra State but lives at No 2 Theresa Akabuogu Street, off Ekweremadu Road, Independence Layout Enugu.
“He is 5-feet, eight inches and about 44-years and dark in complexion.
His company name is Steinberg Limited, located also in his residence at Independence Layout”, the command spokesman added
