Police Burst Baby Factory In Delta, Rescue Eight Pregnant Girls
Featured, Latest Headlines, News From The State Sunday, August 2nd, 2015By Ignatius Okpara, Asaba – Delta state Police Command has uncovered a baby factory in Asaba, the Delta state capital, where eight young girls were rescued.
The state police public Relations officer, PPRO, Celestina Kalu, who disclosed this to newsmen, on Saturday said operator of the illegal outfit Mr. John Ihezun has been arrested by the police.
According to her, the baby-making factory was discovered after detectives, acting on a tip-off, swooped on the premises.
Said the PPRO: “On July 30, 2015, Police detectives from GRA Division Asaba, while acting on a tip-off, raided a suspected baby factory opposite the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Asaba, and arrested its operator, Mr. John Ihezun.
“Detectives also arrested two boys, one Prince Chukwu and Obum Nwankwo, in the premises of the baby factory,” Kalu said.
“The operatives found eight pregnant girls (names with-held).
She hinted that the command had begun investigations into the matter, adding that any person found to be involved in the unholy act, would be made to face the music accordingly.
