Police Begin Investigation on Woman who Commit Suicide In Enugu
Latest Headlines, News Friday, July 10th, 2015By IGNATIUS OKPARA, Enugu – The Enugu state police command says it has commenced full scale investigations into an alleged case of suicide of a woman, identified as Justina Chiwetalu of Umunna Ndiuno in Ezeagu Council Area of Enugu state.
It said: “the finding is aimed at unravelling the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The state police public Relations officer,PPRO, Ebere Amarizu, who disclosed this to AFRICAN EXAMINER on Friday in Enugu said: “it is suspected that the alleged suicide took place on 4/7/15 before her dead body was seen yesterday at her bathroom hanging.
In another development Amarizu, hinted that operatives of the 9th mile Division “on 9/7/15 dislodged some set of hoodlums that specialized in wrecking havoc on the life of motorists along Ugwuonyeama(onyeama Hills)Enugu”
He said the operatives had acted on information they received that robbers emerged from a bush along the road and were robbing occupants of a mass transit bus on Thursday at about 6pm”
“They moved swiftly to the scene but were confronted by the hoodlums, and during the exchange of fire,one of the hoodlums was fatally injured while others believed to have touched with bullet escaped into the bush.
According to the PPRO, among items recovered from the suspects were, double barrel short gun with one live cartridge and two expended one.
“The state command is now appealing to members of the public especially hospital owners to report promptly to security operatives about anyone with injury suspected to be that of bullet for necessary action.
