Police Begin Investigation On 22 Year Old Bricklayer Who Committed Suicide in Enugu

A 22 year old bricklayer identified as Akubuike Onyedika from Isiukwuato, Abia state has committedSuicide in Enugu, just as police commenced investigation on the incident.

Enugu state police public Relations officer,PPRO Ebere Amarizu, who disclosed to AFRICAN EXAMINER on Wednesday in Enugu said the lifeless body of the deceased was discovered in a bush where he hung himself under a cashew tree.

According to him, investigation by the police revealed that the deceased committed the act on 5/3/16.

He said: “The deceased Akubuike Onyedika, who is believed to be from Isiukwuato Abia state and a bricklayer living at Umunkpume orba in Udenu Local Government Area Of Enugu state was said to have gone out and never seen until security operatives were alerted”

“Upon information the police conducted a search and discover where the deceased was seen hung under a cashew tree with rope on his neck.

Amarizu, disclosed that a full scale investigations have commenced into the alleged incident.

Meanwhile, “the dead body of the deceased has been deposited at Prince Eze Hospital Mortuary Obolloafor for necessary action, the PPRO added.
