Police Avert Bomb Explosion In Kano Mosque
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Sunday, July 27th, 2014On what could have been a disastrous attempt to disrupt Salah celebration in Kano, the state police command has uncovered another explosives inside a vehicle packed close to Ishiaka Rabiu Mosque within the metropolis.
Ishiaka Rabiu Mosque, which is the second largest Eid prayer ground in Dala local government area of the state, contains hundreds of Muslim worshipers during the salah prayers session.
While addressing Journalists this morning, the Commissioner of Police, Aderele Shainabab said the explosives was discovered in the midnight around 1am following a tip off.
The commissioner, who confirmed that the explosives have been detonated by the police, appreciated unrelenting efforts of the residents who usually give the security agencies useful information to avert any vice of terrorism in the state.
African examiner’s correspondent in Kano reports that some parts of the Peugeot 406 vehicle with plate number Bauchi AA 513 ZAK was damaged in the process of detonating the bomb explosive.
