Police Arrest Three Suspected Rapists in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested three men alleged to have raped a young woman and plugged one of her eyes.
It would be recalled that the unknown men were alleged to have raped one Zainab Mohammed at Lukshi village in Dass Local Government Area of the State, at about 23.30 on the 1st, March, 2014, and had been on the run for over a week now.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, disclosed in a press statement made available to African Examiner on Sunday.
The statement reads, “Since the incident occurred, the command embarked on aggressive manhunt of the suspects, and it has yielded positive result as all the three suspects have been arrested and have confessed to the crime.
He gave their names as Sabo Rabo, Bitrus Yakubu and Sani Mohammed all of Durr Katanga village.
Mohammed maintained that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
