Police Arrest 9 Armed Robbers In Enugu

Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Enugu state police command have arrested 9 notorious Armed Robbery suspects believed to be terrorising motorists along Abakiliki Enugu Expressway.
The state police public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amarizu, DSP who disclosed this to African Examiner Monday in Enugu, gave names of the Suspects to include, sunday Orinya, Idenyi Ifeanyi, Sunday Okibe.
Others are, Idenyi Nwagbo, Hyginus Orinya, Fidelis Ido, Tochukwu Okwudili, sunday Abonyi and Titus Eze.
He said they were apprehended at Idodo axis, in Nkanu east local government area of the state when the eagle eyed operatives stormed their hideout following intelligence report.
According to the command’s spokesman, the security operatives had earlier received information about the nefarious activities of the hoodlums in the area before storming their hideout.
Recovered from them are three locally made single barrel guns even as Amarizu, said the suspects are already helping the operatives in their further investigations.
