Police Arrest 45-Year-Old Ebonyi Man For Killing Own Son

Ignatius Okpara, Abakaliki – The Ebonyi State Police Command Sunday confirmed the arrest of a 45- year-old-man identified as, Nwofu Igbo, who allegedly killed his son in Nwofe Community in Izzi council Area of the state.
The command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chris Anyanwu, made the confirmation in a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi state capital.
He announced full investigations into the matter have commenced.
“The police is prepared to get to the root of the problem that led to the killing of the boy,’’ Anyanwu stated.
He also stated the suspect had confessed to the killing of his 16-year-old son who returned from Lagos to celebrate the Christmas with his family members.
A source who craved anonymity told newsmen that Igbo sent his son to grave, due to a squabble between him and the deceased’s mother.
