Plateau Politicians Sign Non-Violence Pact
Featured, Latest Headlines, News From The State, Nigeria 2015 Election Tuesday, February 10th, 2015Agabus Pwanagba, Jos – To ensure a violent free political transition, candidates of different political parties vying for various elective positions, in the 2015 general elections on Tuesday signed a violence free peace-pact by the commissioner of Police Plateau State Command, Nasiru Oki.
Oki said the Police are ever ready to deploy security personnel in all the polling units across the 17 Local Government Areas of the State.
Oki advised all the political parties against bridging the electoral law, while appealing to politicians to warn their supporters against post election violence.
The Police Chief added that, the police would not hesitate to arrest anyone found trying to cause chaos adding “If anyone is detained during election no one should come for his bail”.
He also advised that proper information should be sent to the security agencies before embarking on electioneering rallies warning against coming to voting centers with arms.
