Plateau Police Command Parades Human Merchant Husband

The Plateau State Police Command has paraded a youngman, identified as Maimako Shephang who sold his wife, Agnes, for the sum of N800, 000 to ritualist.
Parading the suspect at the Command’s headquarters in Jos, the state capital Wednesday, the State’s Police Commissioner, Nasiru Oki, said: “On the 30th, August, 2014, at about 11:00 hours, the policemen in Quaan Pan LGA arrested one Maimako Shephang at Kwalla following information that, the middle aged man lured and took his wife Agnes to a nearby bush on a pretext to fetch firewood”.
‘’On getting to the bush, the handed over his wife Agnes to two men, who masked themselves.
“The two dreaded men asked Agnes whether she is spinster or not. As the woman told them that, the man who handed her over to them is her husband.
“They told her to runaway from the place, since the spiritual sacrifice requires a woman or a lady who has not known a man, the Commissioner narrated.
Oki said the woman’s husband and one of the suspected ritualists had since been apprehended by the police and were being investigated.
In another development, the Command revealed from July till date, it has recovered 26 arms of different sizes, 40 ammunition and 10 cartridges.
The Police Boss appealed to the citizenry to collaborate and cooperate with the Command by making available, credible and relevant information to the task of policing in the State.
