Plateau PDP’s SEC Passes Vote of No Confidence on State Chairman

The Plateau State Chapter of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has passed a vote of no confidence on the party’s suspended Chairman, Dr. Haruna Dabin and directed the Acting Chairman, Hon. Raymond Dabo to continue to act as Chairman.
The State Executive Committee in a communique made available to African Examiner, signed by seven members of the committee after its extra ordinary meeting held at the Presidential lodge in Rayfied Jos, on Friday.
Some of the signatories to communique include, Hon. Emmanuel Go’ar, member representing Pankshin/Kanke Kanam in the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Dem, Majority Leader of the Plateau State House of Assembly and Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan, Chairman Quan’pan Local Government Area, among others.
It reads “The Chairman of the Party, Dr. Haruna Dabin was given a vote of no confidence. It was resolved that the Acting Chairman, Mr. Raymond Dabo should continue to act as Chairman of the Party.
“It was also resolved that the committee report be forwarded to the National Secretariat for necessary action.
It would be recalled that the State Executive Committee of the Party in the State had suspended the embattled Chairman, Dr. Haruna Dabin, on the 16th, June, 2014, in a similar meeting chaired by the State’s Deputy Governor, Ignatius Longjan, accusing the Chairman of Financial misappropriation and his inabilty to call for congress at all levels of the party in the State.
