Pep Guardiola Sets To Take Over Man City In June

A statement issued Monday by the English clubside said Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, 62, was “fully supportive” on hearing the news of emerging development.
The Man City indicated that the negotiations with Guardiola was “a recommencement of discussions that were curtailed in 2012”, when Roberto Mancini was still in charge of the team and led them to the domestic title in the year.
Among the early reactions to the development came from former City winger Trevor Sinclair, who pointed out that the news of Guardiola’s appointment was “a massive, statement” by the club and “huge news for all City fans”.
Fourty-five year old Guardiola is currently the Coach of Bayern Munich. His predecessor, Pellegrini, is billed to leave June 30, 2016.
