PDP Expresses Shock Over Audu’s Death
Latest Headlines, News Monday, November 23rd, 2015The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed shock over the news of sudden death of the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in last the Saturday’s Kogi state Governorship election, Prince Abubakar Audu.
In response to the situation, the party in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh held it refrained from comments on the conduct of the poll.
Metuh said at this critical moment, comments were not important; adding that what is important at this point was the “sanctity of human life”.
“Our deepest thoughts and prayers go to the family of Prince Abubakar Audu and indeed, the APC fold”, stated the PDP.
The statement indicated that the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, charged all PDP members in Kogi and across the nation to keep Prince Audu, his family and loved ones in their prayers.
