PDP Caucus Kicks Against Further Plans To Postpone Reps Resumption Date
Featured, Latest Headlines, Politics Tuesday, July 21st, 2015Ayodele Afolabi, Abuja – The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Caucus in the House of Representatives has said that the postponement of the resumption to 28th July by the leadership was unacceptable to it.
Led by former Deputy House Leader, Leo Ogor to brief the media on Tuesday, the caucus urged the APC lawmakers to put their house in order.
The caucus lamented that the leadership crisis rocking the APC was affecting the polity.
The PDP lawmakers warned that the new date fixed for the resumption must be sacrosanct as nothing must be done to warrant a shift in the new date.
Ogor maintained that the National Assembly has been made redundant adding that Nigerians are getting impatient with the 8th Assembly for not hitting the ground running with legislative activities.
According to him, members of the PDP caucus were ready to proceed with their primary legislative assignment if only the APC would put national interest above self and resumes.
