Pastor Adeboye Says 2014 Will Determine Nigeria’s Destiny, Declares 100 Days Fasting

The year 2014 will determine Nigeria’s destiny, says Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God.

He adds that 2015 will be a mere formality as this year will determine the turn of event for the nation.

Speaking at the Redemption Camp on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria, at the Crossover Service, the man of God said contrary to all expectations, 2014 would shape the future of Nigeria.

He further said that the equation at the beginning of 2014 will be different from the equation at the end of 2014, warning people not to jump to conclusion.

Adeboye also prophesied that 2014 would witness major breakthrough in medicine and science, saying that God wanted the people to pray against noisy and highly destructive storms.

He also announced 100 days fasting and praying for members of his church beginning from today and would end on April 11, 2014, disclosing that the last time the church embarked on 100 fasting was 18 years ago, saying that much result was achieved after the fasting.

According to him, “18 years ago, God calls us out to fast for 100 days. Some of us did and some did not. Those who did, when the result came, they thanked God.”

Adeboye said that only church members who were newlywed and those who had attained the age of 70 were exempted, adding that “If for any reason, you break a day, maybe for social engagement like wedding and others, you must supplement it with two days of fasting and praying. If you are able to engage in seven days fasting continuously without breaking it, it will be counted to you as if you have done 14 days fasting out of the 100 days. If you engage in 21 days continuous fasting without breaking it, it will be credited to you as 63 days fasting.

“If you engage in 30 days continuous fasting without breaking it, that will take care of the 100 days fasting, but if you break it each day, you must do the 100 days. As for me, I will do all the fasting and will even do more.”
