Pandemonium As Shooting Breaks out In Kuje Prisons, Abuja
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Monday, August 29th, 2016ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – There was pandemonium in and around Kuje Prisons Abuja Monday afternoon, due to heavy persistent shooting.
The development sparked up fear among the residents and passers-by of possible jail break and subsequent break down of law and order.
Nigeria has been recently hit with successive failed and successful jail break. About two cases have been recorded in the South east – Abia and Enugu states and about two in the North central – Kogi State and Abuja.
In the last jail break in Kuje Prisons, the arraigned militant leader, Henry Okah was among the speculated inmates who escaped. Still, the Prisons authority admitted the attempt, but denied Okah was among the escapees.
The is no official confirmation yet on the latest development.
