Over 50 Killed As Gunmen Attack Churches In Kwada, Near Chibok
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Monday, June 30th, 2014Gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram Islamic sect, Sunday killed over 50 persons during an attack on churches in Chibok and Biu Local Government areas of Borno State.
Reports say more five churches were burnt down when the gunmen laid ambush on church goers during Sunday services in Kwada village near Chibok.
There were reports of alleged letter written by Boko Haram last week, warning residents of Chibok of another eminent attack in the area.
Reports show that most chibok residents have fled their homes following news that villages in that area were attacked on Sunday.
Eye witnesses said the terrorists, who came in pick up vehicles and motorcycles opened fire on people and set houses and properties ablaze.
The attackers were also said to have carted away food stuffs and motorcycles before fleeing.
