Osun 2014: Omisore, Two Others Pick PDP Governorship Form

Senator Iyiola Omisore, a former Deputy Governor of Osun State and former Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation has picked Expression of Interest form and paid N5 million to vie for the gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State.
Others who picked the form are Senator Olasunkanmi Akinlabi from Ayedaade Local Government Area who was a former Senator and Hon. Oluwole Oke from Esa-Oke in Obokun Local Government Area and former Chairman, House of Representative Committee on Defence.
PDP had set December 31, 2013 deadline for members interested in the positionto pick an Expression of Interest form after paying N5 million.
Osun State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Gani OlaOluwa in a statement on Wednesday in Osogbo confirmed the trio fulfilled the conditions set by the party for those wishing to aspire for nomination and assured the aspirants that the party would give them a “level playground’’.
