Osun 2014: Fayose Denies Making Negative Comment on Omisore’s Chances
Latest Headlines, News, Politics Friday, July 25th, 2014The Ekiti State Governor Elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has debunked the rumours flying on the social media over his alleged pessimism with respect to the victory of the Osun People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore in the August 9 governorship election.
Fayose who made the denial in a statement issued Friday in Ado Ekiti, the state capital by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi declared that his preoccupation for now was for Omisore and PDP to win the election and was doing everything possible to ensure that the desire comes to pass.
Adelusi alleged that the statements was the work of All Progressive Congress (APC), which he said had been overwhelmed with fear of losing the coming poll few weeks after it was defeated in Ekiti.
Fayose affirmed that not only would the incumbent Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola would go back to stay with his master, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu after the August 9 election, but that the PDP would take over the entire South Western part of the country.
The statement therefore urged the Osun PDP members to remain united and ignore anynegative news particularly on the social media which it said was with the intention to cause disunity among the party’s leaders, adding that the APC propaganda in Ekiti, ended 16 – 0 in favour of Fayose.
In the main time, the Governor –elect, Mr. Fayose has called on Osun Voters to secure their permanent voters card in other to be able to exercise their civic right and “vote Omisore” in the coming election.
