Ondo Declares Wednesday Public Holiday Over Akeredolu’s Inauguration
African News, Featured, Latest Headlines, News, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Ondo State Government has declared Wednesday, February 24, a work free day because of the second term inauguration of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
This was disclosed on Tuesday in a statement by the Head of Service, Dare Alagbaye.
African Examiner reports that the venue of the inauguration is the International Culture and Event Centre, Igbatoro Road, Akure, which can host 1,800 persons.
Chairperson of the inauguration committee and Deputy Governor-Elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, revealed that the event and other activities would be low-key, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
