Ondo 2016: Mimiko Meets Buhari; Raises Alarm On Security Breach

ABUJA, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Less than 24 hours after the INEC recognition of Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim as the candidate of the opposition PDP in Ondo Governorship election, incumbent Governor Olusegun Mimiko has raised alarm about the imminent more revolt in the State.
Mimiko said this Friday while responding to journalists, after meeting with President Muhamadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.
He told State House Correspondents that INEC replacement of Eyitayo Jegede with Jimoh Ibrahim was shocking and amounted to injustice.
Governor Mimiko hinted that the Ondo people would not condone the injustice meted out to them. He also said the raging violence in some parts of the State was despite his intervention.
