Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has sacked all the 27 local government areas sole administrators SOLADS in the state.
A statement signed by Secretary to Imo state Government, Professor. Anthony Anwukah made available to newsmen Thursday, directed the SOLADS to hand over to the Directors of Administration (DAGS) in their respective councils areas, adding that the hand over process must not be later than 4 pm Friday, December 6.
The statement explained that Governor Okorocha appreciated their contribution to the Rescue Mission Agenda, saying that he would continue to call on them for the services of the state.
African Examiner gathered that the governor had compiled a list of LGA caretaker chairmen who would later transit to become elected chairmen in the planned April 2014 council polls.
Our correspondent recalled that the Imo Governor, had two months ago appointed 305 LGA caretaker committee members, one from each of the 305 wards in the state, and is yet to inaugurate them.
However, there are strong indications that the appointment of the caretaker committee members are meant to serve as councillors in the planned April 2014 LG elections.
