ODDITY: Enugu Catholic Diocese Declares War on Indecent Dressing

ENUGU, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Catholic Diocese of Enugu says it will no longer tolerate any form of indecent dressing by female members.
A source close to the Holy Ghost Cathedral and Diocesan headquarters revealed to our Correspondent that the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Calistus Onaga, has directed all the parish priests within his area of jurisdiction to take the issue very seriously.
He said henceforth, any female church member, whether married or single, who dresses indecently to the church will be disgraced and turned back.
According to the source, the Bishop is highly disappointed and sad with the alarming rate of indecent dressing among female faithful, including married women.
He added that the Diocesan leader, has observed with dismay that the ugly trend has become a common phenomenon in most parishes hence, the need to check it
“The church is a place of worship and not a nite club or place of social gathering, and as such, people coming to worship God must be decent in all ramifications, including dressing” the Bishop was quoted.
“Henceforth, the Diocese will no longer tolerate any form of indecent dressing. We will no longer fold our arms and watch some people come into the house of God almost half naked’’ Onaga insisted.
