Obanikoro’s Son Round Off Campaign for Lagos State Assembly With Huge Crowd
Latest Headlines, News Thursday, April 9th, 2015By Ayo Balogun – Son of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs II, (Musiliu Obanikoro), Ibrahim Babajide drew large support Thursday in Ikoyi area of Lagos State, as he rounded off his campaign, for the State House of Assembly under the platform of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ibrahim who is otherwise called (IBO) moved around the Eti-Osa Local Council area of the State with his supporters in over 50 vehicles, with different placards and banners displaying his picture, party messages and emblem.
The candidate who is contesting Eti – Osa 2 State Constituency told newsmen that he was humbled by the massive support he received from the residents of the Council area; expressed hope he would emerge victorious in this Saturday polls; urged his supporters to stay back and police their votes as well as called on INEC officials to come with the result sheets.
He equally assured the people of the constituency of good representation if elected.
It would be recalled IBO contested for the Chairmanship of Eti – Osa Local Council around 2012.
He was said to have won the poll, but allegedly lost out to the proscribed Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidate.
He contested the loss in court, but finally lost at the appeal level.
