Oba Ayagburen’s Era Was Glorious, Says Abike Dabiri-Erewa
Featured, Latest Headlines Tuesday, August 5th, 2014Shocked by the death of Oba Anyangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Salaudeen Oyefusi, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa says the death of the Oba marked the end of a glorious era.
Hon Dabiri-Erewa, who represents Ikorodu federal constituency in the House of Representatives, in a statement sent to African Examiner, said the rein of the Obas witnessed “tremendous giants strides in Ikorodu.”
Eulogizing the late Oba further, the lawmaker said: “Oba Oyefusi was not only a great father to us all he also lived a life full of love and kindness to all who came across him.
“His reign witnessed giant strides in Ikorodu. I personally will miss his words of wisdom, inspiration, care and support to me and my family.
“I commiserate with Olori Muyibat who has consistently been a pillar of support, his children, entire family, chiefs, erelus and indeed all sons and daughters of ikorodu.
“A great king and a father, will be surely missed but his legacies and fond memories remain forever. This is an end of a purposeful and dynamic era.”
