New Nyanya Blast: Death Toll Increases To 19 As 60 Injured, 6 Discharged From Hospital

The death toll of May 1 bomb blast in Nyanya near the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja has increased to 19 while 60 injured are still receiving treatment in various hospitals in Abuja.
Nigerian Police Force Spokesman, Frank Mba disclosed this on Friday while addressing Journalists at the bomb blast scene.
“Right now 19 people have been confirmed dead. 60 injured victims are in different hospitals in Abuja receiving treatment. Aside these 60 people receiving treatment, 6 injured people have been treated and discharged this morning”. Mba said.
He stated that the police have gathered evidences from the scene to help their investigations, adding that government will get to the root of the matter.
The Force Public Relations officer however declined to comment on whether the police have arrested any suspect in connection with the bomb blast.
Mba promised that Police will continue to update Nigerians on their investigations when necessary.
