Nyako Declared Wanted by EFCC; Ex Governor’s Location Still Unknown
Crime Watch, Featured, Latest Headlines, Politics Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014Barely a week after his impeachment and resignation of his deputy, former Adamawa state Governor, Alhaji Muritala Nyako has been declared wanted by the country’s anti – graft body – the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This put to pay and confirm the rife speculation right after Nyako’s sack and last weekend that the former Naval Chief was likely to be prosecuted for corruption and treason. The litigations would be pursued in two different courts by the Federal Ministry of Justice.
African Examiner exclusively reported last weekend the likely travail (arrest and prosecution) to befall the ex – Governor. AE investigations revealed that his whereabouts remained unknown after the sack, yet likely to have traveled to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj.
Nyako has vowed to face any charge pressed against him as he was ready to protect his integrity. His aides have also denied their boss was not on the run.
