Latest Headlines, News From The State, Uncategorized Saturday, November 14th, 2015BALTIMORE, MD (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The National Union of Pensioners, (NUP) has said it is a non aligned body and as such cannot endorse anyone for political office.
This is in contrary to the rumour being spread by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Timipre Sylva.
Sylva has been spreading rumour of his purported endorsement by the body, but in a chat with the media on Friday in Yenagoa, the Assistant General Secretary Bunmi Ogunkolade told the general public to disregard the rumour.
He reiterated the position of the national headquarters to the effect that, the NUP could not have endorsed any governorship candidate in Bayelsa state, since it is a non political body.
It, therefore, debunked the rumours that, it has endorsed anyone for the December 5, 2015 election in the state.
