NPFL: Ahmed Musa Rejoins Kano Pillars
Latest Headlines, News, Sports News Friday, April 16th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Top flight Nigeria Professional Football NPFL, Club side, Kano Pillars FC has officially unveiled its former player, and Super Eagles Skipper, Ahmed Musa at the club’s secretariat.
Recalled that Musa, left the Kano club side about 10 years ago, for greener pastures abroad.
Speaking at the event, Musa, said he is back at the club to contribute his own quota up to the end of the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
He equally promised to do his possible best to see the club lifts the ongoing NPFL trophy.
His words: “I left Pillars over 10-years ago without winning the league then but now, by God’s grace, I will make a special record by leading the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League title.
In his remark at the event, chairman of Kano Pillars, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul who unveiled the former Leicester City and CSKA Moscow player, said he was delighted to have the player rejoin the club, asking him to feel at home as one of them.
Before traveling abroad, Musa had in 2009, won the season’s top scorer in the NPFL, after recording a total of 18 goals.
He left Pillars to join VVV-Venlo in the Netherlands where he also proved himself.
African Examiner Sport reports that the engagement with Kano Pillars will only last till the end of the 2020/2021 season.
