Notorious Car Snatcher Nabbed in Enugu

A team of Mobile policemen attached to No 3 Police Mobile Force of the Enugu State Police command has smashed a notorious robbery suspect, Chinedu Nweke, who specialises in car snatching.
The suspect, who is in his early 20s, and said to have been terrorising residents of Enugu, was apprehended by the security operatives, who were on a stop and search duty along the Ishiagu, Ebonyi State, axis of Enugu-Portharcourt expressway.
According to the state police public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amarizu, (DSP) the mobile policemen “on 3rd December nabbed one Chinedu Nweke, aged about 23, of Ebenabo village in Awka-North local government area of Anambra state for allegedly stealing a Toyota Camry car with registration number ABC 587 AH silver in colour.
Narrating to the police how he stole the car from where it was parked and subsequently taken to its selling point, the suspect, disclosed that the car was stolen from Emene area of Enugu in the night of 2nd December from the alleged owner’s compound in connivance with one Okechukwu Eze, of Awgu in Enugu state whom Police said is now at large.
He was arrested in the cause of intensive search mounted by the operatives. Recovered from the suspect include, three handsets comprising one Blackberry phone, one Nokia Phone and one Visa phone.
Meanwhile, the police say full scale investigations into the incident has commenced, as the suspect is now helping the operatives in their further investigations.
