Northern Elders Forum Vows To Drag Clark To Court Over Defamation Of Character

Audu Limun – The Northern Elders Forum (NEF), has vowed to drag the former Minister of Communication Chief Edwin Clark to court over defamation of character.

Addressing newsmen in Bauchi, the spokesman of the NEF Professor Abduallhi Ango said the forum wants Clark to explain in details in court where they met with Jega and how much did they give Jega as alleged by Clark.

He said: “Of course, we accepted the rhetorical aspect of the allegation but we do not accept the defamation of our character. A process of legal is on now that this will be tested in court.”

Ango added: “This is part of the orchestration that led to the incident that INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega has received money from the Northern Elders Forum where names including mine were mentioned. Is unacceptable to us and we will challenge that in court.”
