Nollywood Star, Funke Akindele’s Lawyer Demands Apology From Blogger Ikeji over Mockery Post

By Adeseye Adebiyi, Lagos – Popular blogger, Linda Ikeji has been asked to tender apology over her mockery Sunday post on the marital status of another famous Nollywod star, Funke Akindele’.

Akindele’s marriage with her husband, Adeniyi Johnson, is believed to have broken and subsequently speculated to be having affairs with fellow Nollywood mate, Toyin Aimakhu.

Consequently, Akindele’s Manager condemned the Sunday, (January 25, 2015) post titled: ‘’Did Funke Akindele Shade Toyin Aimakhu Last Night?’’ ascribing a picture on Funke Akindele’s instagram and painting alleged break up between Funke and her husband, Adeniyi.

The post which was described as ‘’unwarranted’’ has prompted a letter from Funke’s Lawyer to Ikeji, alleging that she has exhibited contemptuous comments, was judgmental and on the other hand, her post strayed her client’s brand by putting her in jeopardy as well as stimulating an unhealthy rivalry where there was none.

The Lawyer stated in the letter that as a law abiding citizen and well adored actress by her fans, Funke demanded for an apology or she (Ikeji) faces the wrath of the law.
