NLO League 1: No Covid 19 Test Results For Players Officials, No Participation, Participating Teams Told.
Featured, Latest Headlines, Sports News Saturday, March 6th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Ahead of the commencement of Nigeria’s Nationwide league one (NLO) league season for 2021 which begin from 7th March, 2021 across all centres, Director of the competition in South- East zone, Ebere Amarizu, has reminded participating teams and officials of the need to operate within laid down stipulated rules and regulations of the game.
It reports that South East has its centres at Okigwe and Ngor Okpala in Imo state.
Amaraizu, also urged the clubs to ensure that COVID -19 tests for players and their officials were duly conducted and results made available at various centres before the commencement of the league as it is one of the requirements for participations amongst others.
He stated this Friday in Enugu while reacting on the readiness of the league on the commencement of the league at various centres.
He assured that Matches will be played and in strict compliance with the COVID 19 Protocols as directed by the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) COVID
19 Task force as well as by the rules governing the league.
“We are starting with NLO Division one league clubsides and already they have been grouped to play each other at their various centres to determine various overall winners of each group to lock horns.
He disclosed that no fewer than eight teams is expected to lock horns in each of the centres across the federation .
