NIMASA Acting DG, Haruna Jauro Resumes Duty
Featured, Latest Headlines Monday, July 27th, 2015By Ayo Balogun – The acting Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration And Safety Agency (NIMASA) Mr. Haruna Baba Jauro has formally taken over from his predecessor, Barrister Calistus Nwabueze Obi.
At the handover ceremony which held at the Agency’s headquarters Monday, the former DG pledged his unreserved loyalty to Jauro and enjoined NIMASA staffers to support him.
Obi assured that the excellent working relationship between him and the acting DG would continue in order to lift the Agency to greater heights.
In a statement issued by NIMASA Deputy Director/Head Public Relations, Isichei Osamgbi, Jauro in his response, expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for the opportunity given to him to serve the nation in his new capacity.
He also thanked the NIMASA staff for their commitment to duty and craved the cooperation of all for the realization of the mandate of the Agency.
“I want to thank all staff of NIMASA for the commitment to the objectives of this Agency and crave your cooperation so that together we can actualize the objectives for which the Agency was set up” the acting DG said.
