Nigeria’s Teen – Child Education Crusader Zuriel, Rounds Off World Tour

A brand Ambassador of a new generation Bank, Zuriel Oduwole, has concluded her latest six – nation tour #followTheBallForEducation used to drum up support for the Girl-Child education.

The campaign which ended last Thursday, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, lasted six weeks, involved visit to countries such as United States of America (USA), Brazil, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Mauritius and South Africa.The Ambassador arrived Nigeria penultimate last Saturday. In her visit to the state first lady, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, hailed her incredible and stellar efforts as well as signed the ball on behalf of the people of Lagos.

While in Port Harcourt, she met with the 2014 World Book Capital project director, Mrs Koko Kalango, who again formally announced her the ‘Goodwill Ambassador for the Rainbow Book Club’. With the appointment, she was expected to use her “initiative and developing global influence to encourage reading across all ages”.

The Ambassodor also met the State Governor Rotimi Amaechi and Nobel Laureate in Literature, Professor Wole Soyinka. The duo signed the ball for Education.

In the main time, Zuriel has since returned to the US to partake in the ongoing three day US-Africa Summit in Washington DC, in which President Goodluck Jonathan President and 54 African leaders and heads of governments are meeting with President Barack Obama.

Zuriel who has interviewed 1 in 6 of Africa’s Presidents, is considered the world’s most popular teenager and an emerging influential African of note.
