Nigeria Vs Liberia: I Jumped Off My Seat – Sanwo-Olu
Featured, Lagos, Latest Headlines, Sports News Saturday, September 4th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday has stated that he could not contain his excitement in the match between the Super Eagles and Liberia.
It could be recalled that the Super Eagles defeated the Lone Stars on Friday in a 2022 World Cup Qualifier after Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored two goals.
In a post on Facebook, Sanwo-Olu applauded the players for their performance and for making him and other Nigerians happy.
He said: “With Lagos comes a spirit of victory and like every football loving Nigerian, I jumped out of my seat when Kelechi Iheanacho scored the two goals that gave us victory.
“A big congratulations to our darling Super Eagles on their convincing victory over the Lone Stars of Liberia in their World Cup qualifying match.”
