Nigeria To Review School Resumption Date Amidst Rise in COVID-19 Cases
African News, Featured, Latest Headlines, News, News Across Nigeria, News From The State Monday, January 11th, 2021(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The resumption date of the 2020/2021 second term across Nigeria will be reviewed by the Nigerian government due to the recent increase in COVID-19.
African Examiner writes that the date initially fixed for resumption is January 18, 2021 date but at the Presidential briefing on Monday, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, stated in Abuja that the date would be reviewed.
Adamu said: “On the January 18 resumption date, we are reviewing it. We are going to review it. At the PTF meeting today, we considered it. And tomorrow, the ministry is going to take it up.”
According to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the reports globally show that the COVID-19 pandemic is still causing problems on humanity, economies and systems.
