NFF President, Pinnick, Predecessors, Others Appointed Into CAF Key Committees
Latest Headlines, Sports News Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015By Ayo Balogun – The NFF President Amaju Pinnick, has been named a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), organizing committee for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), for 2015/2017 season.
Besides Pinnick, other notable Nigerian Football stakeholders such as former member of the FIFA Executive Committee, Dr. Amos Adamu. Adamu,has also been co-opted into the CAF Executive Committee.
However, a member of the NFF Executive Committee and chairman of the Referees Committee, Mr. Yusuf Ahmed retained his seat in the continental Football body’s Technical and Development Committee, while former NFF 1st Vice President Mr. Amanze Uchegbulam remains on the Appeal Board of the CAF.
Other appointees include: Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye as a member of the CAF Disciplinary Board; Aisha Falode the Media Committee, as well as the immediate past NFF head, Aminu Maigari and two of his predecessors, Dominic Oneya, Sani Lulu Abdullahi, were appointed on African Nations Championship; Interclub Competitions and Club Licensing System and Organizing committees respectively.
