New NNPC Boss, Kachikwu Sacks Executive Directors
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Wednesday, August 5th, 2015By Funmilayo Omidiji – About 24 hours after the sack of its Group Managing Director (GMD), Dr. Joseph Dawha, his successor, Emmanuel Kachikwu, has fired the Group Executive Directors (GED) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The affected Directors (GEDs) included: Messrs Ian Udoh, who until the latest exercise, was in charge of (Refining and Petrochemicals), Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba, (Engineering and Technical) and David Ige, (Gas and Power).
Also affected were Hajia Aisha Abdurrahman, former Head, (Commerce and Investments directorate), Dan Efebo, (Corporate Services), Attahiru Yusuf, (Business Development) and Bernard Otti, head, (Finance and Accounts).
The sack of the Directors takes immediate effect.
It would be recalled President Muhammadu Buhari announced Tuesday, the removal of the immediate past NNPC GMD, Dr. Dawha and immediately replaced him with Kachikwu, a former Vice Chairman of ExxonMobil Africa.
The Wednesday sack was the first major task carried out by the new GMD who resumed full duty today.
