NEMA Puts Jos Explosion Death Toll At 44
Featured, Latest Headlines Monday, July 6th, 2015By Abdul Gaffar Bello – The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has put the death toll of the twin bomb blast that occurred Sunday night in Jos, the Plateau State capital at 44, while almost 50 were injured.
NEMA North central Director, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Salam gave the figure Monday to journalists. He informed that the injured were in various hospitals in Jos metropolis for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has called on the security agents in the State to double their efforts so as to avoid repeat of the bloody attack.
Governor Lalong in a statement by his Director of Press and Public, Emmanuel Nanle, also condemned the attack and called for calm.
Although, the State Government claimed the casualties were less than 44. The Command Public Relations Officer, Abuh Emmanuel, who confirmed the incident Monday was not sure the total number of death and injured.
