National Convention: Court Insists Offices of PDP National Secretary, Auditor not Vacant
Featured, Latest Headlines, News Saturday, May 21st, 2016LAGOS, NIGERIA (AFRICAN EXAMINER) – The Federal High Court Lagos on Friday refused to vacate its Order not to conduct election into offices of the National Secretary and National Auditor at the PDP convention holding in Port Harcourt on Friday.
The judge further adjourned further hearing on the case till May 24th.
Justice A. B. Mohammed of FCT High Court in suit Chief Emeka Debia V. PDP, FCT/HC/CV/1443/2016 in a final judgment delivered had barred PDP from conducting election into 18 National offices at its May 21, 2016 Convention.
The judge stated that the tenure of National Secretary and National Auditor of the party will expire by December 2018 while the remaining Officers tenure will expire by 30th August 2017 with the exception of the National Financial Secretary and Chairman whose offices are vacant.
