Monkeypox Hits Lagos, 2 Suspected Cases Reported

(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – Residents of Lagos State must from now be very careful about the possible spread of Monkeypox virus as the suspected cases of the disease has been confirmed.
The State Commissioner for Health Dr. Jide Idris Monday disclosed that two suspected cases of the ravaging disease have been recorded in the state.
Since its outbreak-in Bayelsa state, a medical doctor and 10 persons have been affected and are currently being quarantined in an isolation centre at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of the South South state.
