Man Docked for Vandalising and Stealing N470,000 Property
Crime Watch, Latest Headlines Thursday, December 19th, 2013A 39 year old man, Lukmon Mohamed was on Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate Miss Akinde of Lagos Magistrate Court, Ikeja for vandalising and stealing.
Mohamed and others now at large on 17th December, 2012 at Idowu Egba village, Igando, Lagos unlawfully and riotously demolished the
perimeter fence of a building under construction valued at N400,000.He also on the same date and at the same venue stole an iron gate valued at N70,000. Both properties were said to belong to one Mr.
Yinusa Ojo Kolawole. Prosecutor Sgt. Chinalu Nwadoiye said the alleged offences contravene the provision of section 409, 50, 285 (1), 287(1)(a) of the criminal law of Lagos 2011.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the three count charge preferred against him.
Magistrate Akinde granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 and adjourned the matter to 4th of February, 2014.
