Man Arraigned in Lagos for Illegal Possession of Gun
30 year old Taiwo Usman was on Tuesday arraigned before Magistrate Miss Akinde of Ikeja Magistrate Court, Lagos for illegal possession of firearm.
Usman is facing a one count charge of unlawfully possessing a locally made double barrel shot gun, eight live cartridges, an AK-47 magazine, one K2 magazine and twenty K2 live ammunition without licence issued to him by the Inspector General of Police.
Prosecutor Chinalu Uwadoiye said the offence is punishable under section 328(d) of the criminal Law of Lagos 2011.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him. However, he was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties.
