LP, APC, PDP Seek Immediate Sack of Anambra Resident Electoral Commissioner

The three candidates of the opposition parties that participated in the Saturday’s Anambra state Governorship election have jointly declared that they would not accept whatever result that may be announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
The candidates are that of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Tony Nwoye, Labour party (LP) Ifeanyi Ubah and Chris Ngige of All progressive Congress (APC.
Addressing a joint press conference in Awka Sunday, the candidates, also called for the immediate sack of the Anambra state Resident Electoral commissioner, REC, Professor Chukwuma Onukaogu.
The candidates who spoke through the APC candidate, Dr. Ngige, saying whatever result that would be announced by INEC can never be the reflection of the peoples wish.
They alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, deliberately and scientifically rigged the election in favour of the ruling party APGA.
According to them, the electoral manipulation was perfected through security operatives, particularly the police and Army.
They however vowed to seek redress in court on their individual party basis.
