Libel Suit Against PDP: Amaechi is in court and not making threats – Rivers APC
Latest Headlines, News Thursday, September 24th, 2015BALTIMORE, MD, (AFRICAN EXAMINER) The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress [APC] has expressed shock over the reaction of the PDP to N300 billion suit instituted by Rotimi Amaechi against Governor Wike and PDP in the state.
A statement signed and issued by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Chris Finebone said: “It is indeed hilarious that an action already taken and so reported across the local and national print and electronic media in very simple journalistic English should be appearing like some apparition to Felix Obuah and Jerry Needam as threat of litigation.
“If this reality has resulted to some hallucination on the part of Obuah and his people, it would be in their interest to wake from their slumber, have a discussion with their legal team and face the stark reality that now stares them in the face. Indeed, they should be getting ready to have their day in court.
“However, if it is true that the duo of Obuah and Needam truly think that what they read about the said action was a mere threat of litigation, then we would like to advise the PDP to urgently provide interpreters to these people in order to address the communication challenges that may be confronting them in discharging their duties as party officers”, the statement concluded.
